I'm a healthcare provider. I called the SCHD for guidance regarding a patient with tuberculosis. The receptionist asked several questions before transferring me to voicemail. I left detailed information stating I was looking for guidance not protected patient information. Never got a response. Very unprofessional.

The security guards in this building are very rude and not helpful. I was inquiring about vaccines for an upcoming trip abroad and was referred by the lady in the health department to SIU. On the outside of the building there is a sign that says SIU and I went back inside to go talk to them . The security guards kept telling me to go back into the health department. I kept trying to tell them I had already been in there and that the lady had referred me to SIU and that was what I was looking for. They started to get an attitude with me and finally told me that SIU was not currently in the building. If they would have listened to what I was saying this whole situation could’ve been avoided.

Received my first Covid vaccine shot today. Quick, efficient, and the staff were wonderfully pleasant. No side effects: didn't even know the needle was in my arm. Relieved that I received the shot and will be even better after the second one.

I received a two dose vaccine series at this location and both of my visits were wonderful! The front desk staff was knowledgeable and were able to quickly set me up for the appointments as well as check me in the day of. The man who administered my vaccines was extremely personable and helped calmed my anxieties about the injections as well as the process. I was readily given all of the information about the vaccine that answered any questions I may have had. The man was very friendly and seemed happy to get to know me during the process, he even remembered me when I came in for my second appointment. All of the staff made my experience easy and enjoyable. Thank you!

This review is for Weatherization. I was on the list forever and was told that I was next but that they switched their program so thats what was taking so long. I told them about my furnace going out in November but still had to wait.. so I bought a new furnace right before Christmas having to borrow money. Only to have weatherization come out 2 months later and replace the furnace I just bought since 'it wasn't efficient enough'. I told them I would rather the AC be replaced but they wouldn't do it, saying it was right at being efficient, but so close to needing replaced. The furnace guy they used didn't seal the roof properly over the furnace and guess what, when it rained it poured water on that brand new furnace. Called Lenny with weatherization and he sent them back out to seal that spot. Here it is now August and my AC unit hasn't been keeping up at all. The AC has been running constantly and it's still 80 degrees in my house, AC blowing out 70 degree air. I can't cook or do laundry. Honestly had I known this would be the outcome I would have skipped the whole program. Even the HVAC guys said when you replace the furnace you should replace the AC because they are literally attached. They need someone in charge who actually wants to help people at weatherization. Editing today 6/1/26 to add that not one person from Weatherization has cared to respond to this. I actually had Bob Bergen's team come out and fix their mistakes so I fould actually use my AC again-I have kids. Bae Refrigeration, who weatherization uses, not only didn't seal the cap over the furnace and water poured in on my new furnace when it rained, they didn't have my furnace blower set properly. They turned it on high knowing that they didn't replace the coil or the outside unit, Bergen's guy said that the furnace is 5 ton and the outside unit is 3 ton. That configuration was bad for the brand new furnace they put in, but clearly they don't care. Be cautious having weatherization or Bae Refrigeration touch your furnace or AC.
