Note - There are mostly lovely and very helpful employees here. My (and most other reviewers) experiences largely reflect on the administration rather that individual staff members. Its actually impressive how poorly CSU health services is run. From over billing to an impossible scheduling system, its hard to find anything commendable about it. One example that was infuriating was a change to the check in guidelines, which entailed requiring patients to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment. This wouldnt be so bad IF THEY TOLD THEIR PATIENTS. So when I showed up 10 min before an appointment booked months in advance, not only did they turn me away, but also gave me a fee… These sorts of nonsense situations have happened so often with CSU health, if I could give zero stars I would. Oh, also what kind professional medical office is closed for January 2nd? What a joke.

As a premed student, this medical center taught me what not to be. It’s genuinely horrendous. This medical center makes students take a mental health survey for every visit, even if it does not correlate with the condition. They’ve falsely diagnosed five people I know with iron deficiency to get them out of the center, rather than thoroughly evaluating them. The malpractice here is absolutely sick. The office staff encouraged the spread of COVID and the flu by grouping sick students together in a close space. I could go on, but I think I’ve made my point.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS BEWARE I went to the csu therapy/psychiatry portion of the health center a few years ago and the psychiatrist told me word for word “you will always be depressed, experience ptsd, and have OCD. You will need to rely on medication for the rest of your life”. WELL well, there’s years later, I am healed and thriving. With no medications. That is such a dangerous thing to say to a student. I was luckily an adult learner at CSU so I was able to challenge the ideology, but younger students may not be so lucky.

As a student at CSU, I've visited the health network twice now. Once for a ruptured eardrum, and more recently for physical therapy services. Although the visit for my eardrum was great and I felt like I was truly being listened to, I really want to point out the physical therapy department. After undergoing a very complex, serious, and long-term leg surgery 2 years ago, I've been struggling with chronic pain and inflammation/swelling. I've seen two other PTs since then, and neither have been as personable nor caring as Ann Schofield, one of the providers in the department. Ann took the time to understand my history and what I was dealing with, and offered solutions/treatment plans that I wouldn't have even thought of. Instead of simply prescribing medication and home exercises and sending me on my way, she takes the time to try and re-form the connection between my surgical leg and my brain. I truly am so impressed with her care. I haven't had much experience with the pharmacy or other departments, so I cannot speak on those aspects.

Doctors and PT staff are amazing here. Have finally had doctors that really deeply listened and explored health concerns with me in a way I never experienced. The staff supporting has also been amazing to work. Great PT services too. I imagine lower reviews are more reflective of health care in this country than the work done here
