I moved here from Florida Jan of this year after having lost everything. This health department has been the best out of all the health departments I have ever been to. Their programs are extremely helpful and they have LITERALLY saved my life in a multitude of ways as I do my best to pick up the pieces of my life. The doctors have always been very caring and informative. I never feel rushed and I have never felt that I should stop asking the questions that I ask. Please, I read all the negative reviews and just think it’s so sad.. ..Imagine how many sick, grumpy, mean, combative people that the staff members have had to deal with on a daily basis. Be kind. Everybody has a bad day. They are a government entity and yes, they are not perfect but I am telling you I have been to a lot of health departments and this one by far has the kindest staff and the most helpful programs I have ever seen, and had the pleasure of being gifted. I have even moved to Bristol within the last five months and refused to stop going to the Washington county health department. I would like to thank my providers and all the staff members there for helping me and the community!

Was very nervous to go to health department, every single person you talk to in there makes u feel comfortable and safe. I love the sweet ladies in there they made me feel so comfortable. This place was a big help for me. I lost my insurance and they was there to help me get my birth control and do a check up, they went above and beyond, amazing women that work here. I could have hugged them all for the kindness they showed me. Got me all set up with a primary health provider. Big big big help I felt so lost but they helped me more than I thought.

I have been here multiple times with my caregiver. First cancelled her appt didn't tell until after we attived. Next did labs but could not find the results& someone referred tolood specialist appt but noone knows why or who did this,,,?? Lastly, next spot now her lab work is lost her lab workwaexplain why she referred to bloodspecialists but no one even knows why or who referred her. Went back to go over labs but lost her labs do today redoing her blood eork. rnow doing wher lab work all over again. Such incompetence I'm shocked. Your socioeconomic status should not determine the quality of your health care or lack thereof.. everyone should be treated with respect & should be able to have confidence in their providersThis place has really scared hasdisturbed me & the director needs to look at how tto correct these issues now! fortunate in ourthecommunity are being treatedand make changes.
