Haven't had to go to court here but dealt with the Clerk's office a couple times and they are always very friendly and helpful as are the deputies at the security desk. It is a pleasure to handle business here.

I am truly disgusted by the people’s attitude that work in this office..I not going to give names because they know who they are.. but if you look at the previous reviews only the people who are not of color have given this place a five star rating.. so I didn’t know I had to be white to get quality service from them. I thought we have moved past those days but I see I was wrong. Once they know you are African American/Black they are quick to treat you like you are the inconvenience.. as if I’m bothering you to do you job.. moving forward it’s not just the person who was suppose to help. It’s upper management also.. They truly need to be looked into because the disrespect they show Black People is not right!!! Especially in the year of 2023. I makes me sad that these people have jobs in out judicial system, even if they are just in the clerks office.. it makes me truly concerned what is going on in the rest of the courthouse.. they do not even deserve one star..they need to be reported and removed.

I wish I could give zero stars. I do NOT recommend. I was "helped" by a lady named Kim who is a clerk and had a horrible experience. My mother passed away and I needed to get some paper work done. I explained this process was new to me. She was rude, cold and unkind! Her excuse on the way she treated me was (and I quote) "You don't seem like you want to be here. Nobody is forcing you to be here" I was so upset I spoke to her superior who only seemed to defend her behavior! Very disappointed would not conduct any future business with bedford clerks if I have a choice.

I want to sincerely thank Karen R. at the Bedford County Circuit Court Clerk's Office for the incredible help she gave me while researching one of my ancestors. She truly went above and beyond in assisting me with locating information connected to an ancestor’s grave, and I could not be more grateful for her time and effort. Karen was patient, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable. Instead of treating my request as just another phone call, she genuinely took an interest in helping me find answers. Her willingness to dig deeper and continue searching meant more to me than she probably realizes. Family history research can often feel overwhelming and hit dead ends, but Karen’s dedication and kindness helped make a meaningful discovery possible. It is rare to encounter someone so committed to helping others, especially in a public office setting where people are already very busy. Thank you again, Karen, for your professionalism, generosity, and for caring enough to go the extra mile. People like you make a lasting impression.
