WIC services and lactation are amazing. Felt like I was cared about and wasn’t crazy , was afraid my son was not getting enough until she weighed him and he’d gotten 8oz feed in 10 minutes ❤️

Excellent shots for our family always offered and every event or item I have done there is top notch. I have been even further impressed with the new building.

The staff in the back were not nice at all. No bedside manner from the nurses.

HOW IN THE WORLD IS IT A “hippa violation” FOR THE PREGNANT MOTHER TO WANT THE FATHER OF HER CHILD/HUSBAND BACK IN THE EXAM ROOM?????? DURING HER PREGNANCY! CALLED TO CONFIRM THIS IS POLICY IN THE PREGNANCY DEPARTMENT. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY A “KIM” WHICH IT IS NOT A HIPPA VIOLATION. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT. AT THE POINT I WOULD NOT FEEL SAFE GOING HERE. IS THE DR ….MOLESTING PATIENTS????? WHATS GOING ON??? SOMETHING ISN’T RIGHT.. WHAT CAN BE DONE LEGALLY??? You can’t even have another child of yours in the appointments.

Their explanation that “It’s a HIPPA violation even if the mother consents” is completely FALSE. THIS REFLECTS A SERIOUS MISUNDERSTANDING OR MISUSE OF THE LAW. After discovering I wasn’t allowed back in any of my pregnant wifes’ appointments with the Doctor.. I felt very strange about this policy and this staff.. So I felt the need to do some digging.. The first excuse is: they claim it’s a HIPPA violation. Yes, if even the mother is trying to advocate for herself.. for whatever ever the reason may be. Yes, even if the mother is a consenting adult consenting to the husband and biological father being inside the rooms for her appointments. She is still not allowed anyone back with her.. Even though they claim HIPPA they weren’t the least bit accommodating or tell you any rights/protections you have. The next excuse is always “ well the rooms are to small… which just simply isn’t true.. I’m leaving this review because something just feels strange about this Doctor and staff. to explain you do have rights. YOUR NEXT STEPS: 1.Ask for the policy in writing, including the specific legal justification for not allowing any support persons, even with patient consent. 2.Politely clarify that HIPAA does not prohibit the presence of a support person when the patient consents. 3. If they refuse to revise or explain the policy: • File a HIPAA complaint with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS): Look it up • Or file a patient rights complaint with the NC Department of Health and Human Services: Look it up
