I had forgot about the health department I've had to get my grandchildren shots coming out of South Carolina with no Medicaid they have well checks there I've even had questions about covid-19 told me about another site that I couldn't get ahold of can't believe we are not using our health department they are great it is clean big and roomy everyone is so nice.

This place is very unprofessional. I have been put on hold for hours. I was being promised of a call back. Every time I asked to speak to a manager they would answer and hang up in my face this includes a manger by the name of a Omari and also when he routed me to the administrative office after I had to call again bc he abruptly hung up, they also did the same. I would not recommend ANYONE to book any future appointments with this department. I’ve been a patient for years & lately been treated with blatant disrespect. Our health is not of importance here and I’ll be sure to contact whom ever is in charge of placing these individuals in the positions they are in to make sure this doesn’t continue to be an ongoing issue for patients in the future.

For reference, I have been to 4 other Health Departments: Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, and Alexander. This one in Lincolnton is by far the best overall! Everyone was friendly, had a smile, were wearing masks (Covid precaution), and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. They gift you free condoms in a private black ziplock bag, and I even received a large blue bag with a free medium t-shirt, a hygiene bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, comb), a nice zipper baggie with feminine products, and another little blue zipper bag with more condoms (ribbed, tattooed, and extra lube). Catawba only give lifestyle condoms in a brown paper, Burke and Caldwell gave nothing, and Alexander (2nd best place now) gave a white non-see through bag with condoms, feminine products, and a bunch of sex ed leaflets.

Very nice place clean and helpful staff. I didn't go there for an appointment. I went there because maps took me to the wrong area so I asked for directions. They were patient and kind making sure I understood where I needed to go. Overall really good.

I highly reccomend that no one ever go to this health department. I made an appointment at this location for some testing I needed done. I never got the call the anything was wrong, so I figured I'm okay! Years later, I called them for some medical records because I wanted to see my negative results on paper. Imagine my suprise that my swabs were never sent off to the lab, and probably just discarded in the trash. I have now had a disease for God only knows how long because of the lack of care that they have for their patients. Please, if you care about your health, make an appointment at another health department. Any place is better than here!
