Just wanted to give a thumbs up to Patrick Eaton (Onsite Water Protection Supervisor) for being such a great person to deal with both on the phone and in person. He was prompt and informative in his responses (email/txt/calls) to my questions about a well permit I had applied for, he worked in an on-site visit quickly/efficiently despite a busy schedule and was very helpful in assisting me identify lot pin locations while on site. I feel he went above and beyond to make this whole process painless and productive. Thanks again Patrick and I'm looking forward to working with you and your department again at some point in the future. D.Bentley

Great staff. however I saw a post on facebook that was very disturbing regarding one of the security men hitting a woman.

I had an appointment scheduled regarding a childcare voucher. Despite arriving on time, the doors were locked, and no one showed up. I waited outside for about an hour and attempted to call and email but received no response. This lack of communication and disrespect for my time is extremely unprofessional. As a public service organization, they should uphold a higher standard of customer care and community service. Ya'll are no better than the people you supposedly serve.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE.. My girlfriend and I have called for multiple days in a row tryin to speak with Jessica in the dental department.. have never received any type of call back.. this is a health department to health the community and all the people in that building do not fill that need.. they have no care for the next human life. This is our health department and we need to be treated with respect and dignity.. there is a big lack of RESPECT IN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT BUILDING IN DIRHAM NC... No care for people who are dealing with mental health or dental it doesn't matter the ONLY THING THE PEOPLE IN THAT BUILDING CARE ABOUT IS GOING HOME AND COLLECTING A PAY CHECK. What job is hard there? You help people who can't help there selfs... Medically wise they should have the right not to have to worry about not getting treatment from them... Very nasty, rude, with the most disrespectful staff in the world... Hire new staff so the people can receive HELP instead of having to call and leave a voicemail for someone who is never going to return your call!! Terrible service filled with lazy non telephone using system.

Whoever is running the department's Facebook social media page and posting public health announcements is doing an amazing job. The messages are scientifically factual and clear, as well as span a variety of important topics. More agencies need to be like this one, please keep up the good work.
