If you’re trying to get a real ID please read this. Although their website states that proof of social security may include a: Social security card. Paycheck or pay stub. W-2 or 1099 tax form They do not accept paychecks/ pay stubs! They will only accept either a social security card or a W2. I brought in a paystub, my 1040 tax form, my drivers license, my passport, my car registration, and my car registration renewal and still was told that I could not get a real ID. I drove all the way from Louisville and took time off work to get this done. Please update your website or update your clerks. This is totally unacceptable.

Everyday there's a rather long line for vehicle registration so plan accordingly by allowing yourself up to an hour longer than you'd normally had to wait on prior trips here. Driver's license and ID (Real ID & Regular) section is hit and miss, I've been there just by myself before and when 15 others were already there prior (not fun) and was told my wait would be 2 hrs & 40 minutes. It took 1 hr & 40 minutes to be seen. Then the clerk made the same mistake 3 different times, causing me to have to re-take my picture 3 times, reading and singing 3 times and re-paying 3 different times with the same $15... Obviously she was mistake prone or had bad training, both of which should be addressed and corrected. Lastly, this Kenton County Clerk is a state of Kentucky regional office, meaning it will be busier than most other county clerks in the state. I hope this review helps someone. TY for reading this. 🙏🙏🙏

Horrible experience. I went 3 days in a row and waited an hour or more each time. When I’d get to the window they’d turn me away. I was told 3 different things by 3 different people. They don’t all follow the same procedures. When you complain to the supervisor, she’s unconcerned and rude.

Got my car inspected and waited in line to register my car. When I walked up to the window they then informed me their license plate system was down and I could either wait an indefinite time for them to fix it or I could come back another day. What a waste of my time and ineffective system. Do better!

Three women at the county all just gossiping . So rude when I walked in they are snubbed me and were so rude. They were too busy to talk to me though nobody was in there . If you work for the public perhaps you should have s better attitude . Their attitudes make the entire Kenton County Clerks office look bad. I will be going to Independence from now on. So much for customer service on Covington!
