Have been married Since September 2020 and until now i have not received my copy of the marriage license. I have called multiple times and the only answer that I get is that it is processing. Forget the beautiful building the people inside GET S@#T DONE!! What a change moving from Boston to Saugus. The first time I needed to go to city hall I was really hesitant, thinking it was going to be like a trip to old RMV in Chinatown. But boy was I wrong. I was out in les than 10 min. Everyone is nice and everyone is always available. Well maybe not Fred Varone he is busy guy.

Worse people to deal with, very rude. Spoke to Dan K., building inspector that he sent a letter to my home address accusing me of doing a dumpster business from my house. Went to talk to say it was a wrong address.. he kept insisting that i was doing busines feom there. HE GOT THE WRONG ADDRESS, didn't want to listen to me... and kept making such statements, including that I built an apto in my business... that's absurd!!! I told him the investigate it correctly and send me a letter for an apology... horrible person!!!

Saugus Town Hall is exactly what you’d expect from a classic local government building. You’ll find the typical above-the-law attitudes and staff who sometimes have a hard time explaining the basics without sounding a bit condescending—but honestly, that’s part of the charm at this point. It’s consistent, it’s predictable, and it’s unmistakably Saugus. Despite the occasional attitude, this is my town hall, and that familiarity makes every visit feel like an authentic local experience. If they talk down to me, well—at least they’re equal-opportunity about it. For better or worse, it’s all part of what makes Saugus… Saugus. And for that alone, it earns a full 5 stars.
