No one tells you "if you use online services, you'll need to wait 30 days".. For what shouldn't it be faster? Does it take that long to find it or to have it certified? " Well next time come in" for what to pay the parking and the ignorant people, No Thanks...

The people were great but inside was hot!!! Sorry to read the sign about budget cuts and reducing days open. Just another slap on the working middle class.

Just got thru to speak with someone about our marriage license. She was searching for a bit. Our call disconnected. She called me back!!! Told me we are good to go and can come to Clayton to pick it up. Karen Vanhook made my day. She was kind and compassionate. She needs a raise!

They need to do a better job of updating their online hours. They are closed on Fridays due to budgetary cuts was not posted on their website nor on Google. Myself and at least three others citizens took the day off only to find out that they’re closed. Hopefully this post help other not make the mistake to take the day off on Friday to conduct your business with until further notice.

I’m only giving 5 stars because the man that took care of us this morning 4/29/26 to get our marriage license at window 11 was excellent. From start to finish he had us in and out of there within 20 minutes and made the process very easy and enjoyable. However, our virtual appointment yesterday was absolutely infuriating and confusing. The system they use does not allow you to sign on your phone, so you need to use a laptop. Which is fine, had that been communicated to us, but it was not. The person servicing us yesterday kept telling us that she couldn’t find our application and that we needed to use a different website (which indeed was the website we had used already). Of course she found our application after that. At one point, 25 minutes into our appointment she left the call. When we got back on, she told us that WE had left (we did not leave the call) and she was ‘waiting to see if we would call back’, but that she wasn’t going to go out of her way to reach out again if we didn’t. And then told us she actually was doing other things on her computer and accidentally dropped us off the call. She made a point to mention multiple times that she was supposed to be off work already (although she was off work at 5pm and our appointment finally ended at 4:45), as if we were inconveniencing her for her mistakes. So yeah, 0/10 for that experience, but we are grateful it went so smoothly in person.
