I called the county clerks office regarding the filling of a deed and survey on 6/4/25 and spoke with the rudest woman. She was hostile and unwilling to provide answers to basic questions. Very unprofessional and unacceptable.

The lady that answered the phone on December 27th at the district clerks office was having a bad day. Very rude. Rattled off a case number I didn’t ask for yet. My question was how to get documents online. She was very impatient. I told her that I’d call back when I had a pen handy because I was driving. She said be sure and remember that case number or I’ll slap you with a $5 dollar search fee. I said oh ok, thanks and hung up. I got the docs elsewhere in a few minutes. This lady has no power and works for an elected official. They need to remember that…. I wish her and the district clerks office a happy new year. Cheer up lady!

county clerks office not answering phone calls ! The voice mail answers and states “ the mail box is full you can’t leave A message “ this is not a good way to keep office as county clerk … horrible public access and this is what tax your tax dollar pays for NOTHINGNESS- after review of the reviews it is very clear there is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by filing a complaint with the AG . While There’s no law requiring instant phone answering or same-day voicemail callbacks for every general inquiry. Small offices get busy, and staff handle counter traffic, filings, etc. However, they can’t systematically refuse to engage—persistent non-responsiveness on public records could violate the PIA or their statutory duties.
