0/5 stars. Website says as long as you get there before 4 you can walk out with a marriage license. My fiancé took an early day to get here with me before 4pm and we were turned away. The lady at the desk had a horrible attitude and couldn’t care less about helping us at all. She said unless you have an appointment they wont take you past 3:30. When we asked for an appointment she said she couldn’t make one for us until we applied online. When i asked how long that takes and if we could do that to make an appointment she said “no, doesn’t matter, we will be closed.” What a horrible attitude and way to suck the joy out of getting married. So now we are stuck having to take more time off work and drive and 30min over again to hopefully be able to get married. What the hell Butler!

I am so thankful that I got to speak with Kendra in the Probate Court Department who was able to give me direction and inform me of information that I needed.. With being a nurse I expect professionalism, accuracy and understanding.. She was so patient even though I was frustrated..she was very informative and was able to guide me through my process in a very kind manner.. I have spoken to several people that just kept transferring me to departments without listening to my concerns to understand what help I needed.. Kendra listened and was able to advise me.. I’m so thankful for her.. she really did help calm and direct me.. She is really great.. I just wanted to let her know she made a nurse happy today and thank you🥰🥰

I called regarding how to apply for guardianship of my grandmother. I spoke to Susan who was very helpful and very easy to talk to! I’m thankful that she was down to earth and simplified the process for me!!

Though no one going to the probate office is going to do a happy job, every employee was so nice and extremely cheerful. They were truly helpful in every way they could be, legally. From the terrible reviews I thought I was really in for a bad time at the probate office. I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. I went in a couple of times as I did probate with no lawyer which is quite a task. Every time I was there everyone was congenial, polite and extremely helpful. Though I'm still waiting on the outcome of my probate, everyone in the office was amazing and made this as clear as they could without violating the law. I wish I could give 10 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
