Went in for some treatment today after being referred over by the LGBT Center of Hampton Roads. I had initially called in to schedule an appointment for treatment, and the person I spoke to on the phone was very nice and penciled me in promptly. I showed up today to the building and walked in the center door of the building, not knowing the door to the right needed to be used. I left a voicemail for the staff to let them know I was lost, and they called me back shortly after, even though I was late for my appointment as a result, and they showed me where the entrance was and guided me to it. All the staff inside were incredibly friendly and detailed with their instructions, and (sans my lateness to the appointment), I was in and out within an hour or so for the blood work and treatment I needed. The lobby was fairly empty, and the few people that were waiting were served fairly quickly. I've been advised to call back for results of some additional testing that was done, and a form was provided with the necessary information of when to call, what number, and how long to wait for. All in all, this was a very welcoming experience, and at no point was my care rushed or overlooked by the staff. I will certainly vouch for any recommendations for anyone referred to this location for care or treatment. ❤

this is not the place you can get help, whoever sits in the second office from the end on the left, she is horrible, you may not the right color to receive “her” WIC benefit.

This staff is amazing ! So kind , patient, and genuinely understanding. Being 21 adulting doing the whole doctors on your own , I have never felt more seen , comfortable and genuinely understood then I have here ! That speaks volume as this is the health department not a specialized practice. I’ve visited many doctors and offices and nun compared to my experience here today ! Thank you .

Their business hour is said 5:00 pm, I was there around 4:30, trying to get my business health permit from them . They said their cashier get off at 4:00 pm and showed me the sign . I have all paperwork and the check with me , they won’t take it since the cashier is not there . I said can I seal the envelope and leave there , instead of going to post office and they deliver to here , they said they can’t . I am already at the place with everything they need , but I have to go to postal office and drop it off and let postalman deliver to them again . Why can’t they just put a drop off box then . I spent my time and gas to be here to make sure everything right , I am 30 minutes drive away . This recalls me my experience with them 2 years ago when I took over this business from previous owner , nothing changed in the premise but just owner change. I came here 5 times , different people told me different things and gave me a pile of paperwork to fill in , turned out finally a lady with a clear mind gave me a piece of paper , signed it , and done . This place has been really ridiculous after Covid
